1.1 All terms and conditions will be deemed and agreed by the owner on signing of the booking form.
1.2 A consultation is required before making any bookings. This is to collect relevant information from yourself regarding your pet/s needs and to collect keys.
1.3 An emergency contact is required who can make a decision concerning your animal and your property in your absence. This could mean decisions regarding medical treatment or possible emergency euthanasia.
2.1 All personal information is protected under The Data Protection Act 2018.
2.2 Yorkshire Paws has a full CRB check.
2.3 All keys will be locked away in a safe for extra security.
3. Booking & Cancellation Policy
3.1 A 50% non-refundable deposit of the total sum is due to be made payable to Yorkshire Paws at the time of booking, unless the booking is within 14 days or less in which case 100% is due at time of booking.
3.2 For dog walks or home visits, any cancellations made within 14 days prior to the start of a booking will be charged 50% of the total booking.
Cancellations of dog walks or home visits must be made
prior to 14 days to avoid being charged.
3.4 Any cancellations made 48 hours prior to booking will still be charged 100% of the total booking.
3.5 No refunds will be given if the client decides to return home early.
3.6 Booking time is estimate only, please allow an hour before or after the scheduled time. e.g. time schedule for 10am but may arrive between 9am-11am.
3.7 Yorkshire Paws reserves the right to cancel a booking or arrange alternative arrangements at any time due to unforeseen circumstances. Cancelled bookings made by Yorkshire Paws will receive a refund of their deposit.
3.8 If you have advanced bookings and require to change the dates, please contact Yorkshire Paws 7 days prior to initial first visit free of charge. Availability maybe limited at peak times.
3.9 In the event of school holidays, Yorkshire Paws may have
limited availability for dog walking and will contact clients in advance to
arrange an alternative arrangement for long term clients.
4.1 All payments are accepted by cash, debit or credit card or BACS transfer. Made payable to:

4.2 Payments can be arranged weekly or monthly.
4.3 Regular dog walks or home visits services must be paid within 14 days prior to the first visit to secure booking.
4.4 Double rates will apply to all services on Christmas Day and New Years Day/
4.5 During unsociable hours (7.30pm - 7.30am Monday - Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and Bank holidays, a 50% extra charge will be applied to all services.
5. Dog Walking
5.1 In the case of severe weather conditions, e.g. heat or ice, walks may be cut short or cancelled for the safety of the dog/s. Yorkshire Paws will contact the client for alternative arrangements (where possible).
5.2 Yorkshire Paws reserves the right to stop walking or visiting a dog if they show signs of aggression either to dogs or people and will not be liable for any damage or injury caused by the client’s dog.
5.3 All dogs will be kept on leads unless the client signs a disclaimer to give permission to let them off lead and to confirm that they have good recall.
5.4 Dogs registered under The Dangerous Dog Act 1991 cannot be accepted for our service including Pit Bull Terrier, Dogo Argentino, Japanese Tosa, Fila Braziliero, American Pit bull and cross breeds.
5.5 Do not feed an hour prior to walks as this could cause health concerns such as Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus (twisted stomach).
5.6 Dogs must be provided with a suitable harness or collar. Yorkshire Paws will provide ID tags for any dogs without an ID tag.
5.7 If the client’s animal/s requires veterinary treatment Yorkshire Paws will not be held liable for any fees; the client is responsible.
5.8 Lead preparation and other clean-up/other requests will be deducted from the time due to other appointments.
6. Pet Sitting – Home visits
6.1 When instructed to leave animals in a fenced area or one with an opened cat flap, Yorkshire Paws does not accept any responsibility or liability for any animals that escape, become lost or injured.
6.2 Yorkshire Paws will make adequate steps to ensure the client’s home is safe and secure during their absence, however, Yorkshire Paws cannot be held responsible for any burglaries or accidents caused by your animal/s.
6.3 The client must provide all necessary items for their animals to be adequately cared for in the client’s absence.
6.4 Yorkshire Paws will clean up after the client’s pet/s to the best of their ability; however, Yorkshire Paws accepts no responsibility for stains on carpets or flooring caused by your pet/s.
6.5 The client must provide cleaning equipment such as bags, cleaning supplies and fresh substrate or cat litter.
6.6 Keys will be returned once the owner has returned home unless alternative arrangements have been made at the time of booking.
7. Medication, Vaccinations & Veterinary Treatment
7.1 Yorkshire Paws will follow instructions to administer medications as directed but cannot be held responsible for complications that arise as a result of these medications.
7.2 If any member of Yorkshire Paws is bitten by, or exposed to any disease from a client’s animal that has not been properly or fully vaccinated, it will be the client’s responsibility to recompense all costs, losses and damages incurred as a result.
7.3 If the client’s animal/s requires veterinary treatment, Yorkshire Paws will not be held liable for any fees and the client is responsible.
8.1 Yorkshire Paws has the following insurances for peace of mind:
a) Public Liability Insurance.
b) Care, Custody and Control.
c) Loss of Keys/ Replacement Lock Cover.
8.2 Yorkshire Paws cannot be held liable for any theft or damage to the client’s property or injury/illness to their animal/s unless we can be shown to be negligent.
9.1 Only one person may accompany Yorkshire Paws whilst animals are being transported accepts that they do so at their own risk. Please note - Yorkshire Paws’ insurance only covers animals and NOT humans.
9.2 Yorkshire Paws does not accept any liability for any accident, injury or delay incurred during transportation.
9.3 Travel times are approximate and travelling in peak times may result in the journey being longer than anticipated. Please note that if your travel exceeds 30 mins, e.g. 40 mins, you will be charged for 1 hour.
